SPN

Bitterroot's SPN property is located approximately 20 kilometres southeast of the town of Barriere in south-central British Columbia. The 467-claim (9,490 hectares) SPN property was staked to cover a relatively unexplored, road-accessible area which is the source of multi-element (Au, Ag, Cu, Co, Pb, Zn, As) stream silt geochemical anomalies.

Bitterroot's subsequent stream-sediment sampling, prospecting, and soil sampling identified several areas with highly anomalous polymetallic silver and base metal (Cu-Zn) geochemistry and bimodal volcanic rocks, suggesting that the SPN property has potential to host silver-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization similar to that found elsewhere on the Adams Plateau such as at the Samatosum and Chu Chua deposits.

In 2008, the Company's crews did additional geological mapping and soil sampling. An airborne geophysical survey (VTEM) was also flown, which enhanced understanding of the geology at SPN and expanded the dimensions of the anomalous soils. Further geological mapping was done in the third quarter of 2010 and a gravity survey was completed in March 2011. Additional surface exploration is planned in the summer of 2011, with the objective of defining drill targets.
