Mineral Exploration in USA & Canada

Bitterroot Resources Ltd.

Bitterroot Resources Ltd.(51%) and its partner Below Exploration Inc. (49%) are currently exploring the LM Property for high-grade nickel-copper-platinum-palladium deposits similar to Lundin Mining's high-grade Eagle and Eagle East mines in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Four core holes totaling 1,411 metres were completed between June and August 2020. Drilling has intersected a 5.3 metre interval (4.8 metres estimated true thickness) of mafic/ultramafic rock with disseminated blebs of chalcopyrite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite. This interval grades 0.62% copper, 0.58% nickel and 0.327 grams Au+Pd+Pt/tonne. Management is encouraged by the relatively high metal content of this disseminated mineralization. Using a formula developed by Dr. Anthony Naldrett, massive sulphides of this metal tenor would contain approximately 5.7-8.2% nickel, 7.7-8.6% copper and 1.8-4.7 ppm platinum+palladium. At Lundin Mining's Eagle Mine and elsewhere in the Mid-Continent Rift region, disseminated sulphides of this type occur around bodies of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization. Following completion of core logging and data compilation, Bitterroot and Below are committed to continuing exploration of this highly prospective target.

The Company also holds a 49.9% interest in a nickel/copper exploration joint venture with Altius Minerals Corporation, covering more than 360 square miles in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The joint venture has identified nine high-priority VTEM targets which are prospective for Ni/Cu/PGM-bearing sulphide deposits similar to the Eagle deposit. Altius is the operator of the Michigan joint venture. Bitterroot's geophysical contractor recently completed two TDEM surveys which have confirmed the prospectivity and location of two of the best VTEM targets.

In precious metals, the Company has leased, with an option to purchase, the Coyote Sinter project in Elko County, Nevada. The property hosts a fully-preserved low sulphidation epithermal system. Geological mapping, sampling and geophysical surveys are planned in the fall of 2020, prior to permitting of drilling targets in the 200-400 metre depth range.

Bitterroot also holds an option on the Castle West gold-silver project in Esmeralda County, Nevada. The Castle West property hosts high-level epithermal gold/silver mineralized veins and stockworks within several square kilometres of intensely altered tuffs and flows. Recently completed mapping and sampling has identified silicified structures which are prospective for high-grade, bonanza-style gold-silver deposits at shallow depths in underlying metasediments.

Bitterroot's management is saddened to learn of the recent passing of Dr. Anthony (Tony) Naldrett, who was a longstanding member of the Company's Technical Advisory Board. Tony significantly advanced the world's understanding of magmatic nickel-copper sulphide deposits. We are honoured to have known and worked with Tony and will miss him greatly. We wish to convey our sincerest condolences to Tony's family for their loss.
